SWEET & SPICY TOMATO STEW

1kg Stewing Lamb

Oil for browning lamb

1 Chopped Onion

20ml Ginger-garlic paste

10ml Curry powder

10ml ground Coriander

5ml ground Cumin

5ml ground Cinnamon

2.5ml ground Nutmeg

2 x 410g Braai Relish

45ml Apricot Jam

250ml Chicken Stock

2 Bay Leaves

Brown lamb in batches in oil and set aside. In same saucepan, fry onion until golden then add ginger-garlic paste, curry powder, coriander, cumin, cinnamon, nutmeg and fry briefly.  Stir in braai relish, apricot jam, chicken stock, bay leaves, the meat and season to taste.  Cook on low for 90mins or until tender.

Serves 4-6
